From rock bottom to world record — ADHD mentor brings life‑changing talk to Telford
Guinness World Record holder Andy Stone, who has ADHD and autism and has overcome addiction and depression, is coming to The Wakes on Monday 9th March to share how understanding neurodiversity can transform lives.
His talk, “The Science of ADHD & the Six Pillars of Health,” breaks down:
- What ADHD really is and how the ADHD brain works
- Dopamine, hormones, reward pathways
- Emotional highs/lows, stress, relationships
- ADHD and addiction
- Practical lifestyle tools across sleep, nutrition, exercise, wellbeing, connection & purpose
- How to harness ADHD strengths for focus, confidence and success
Andy shares his journey from being expelled, struggling with drugs and alcohol, to becoming 10+ years sober and completing 70 triathlons in 75 days. He now mentors young people and runs an 8‑part ADHD Wellness Course.
The session also explores ADHD strengths, inspiring career paths, and includes footage from Andy’s time as a professional shark diver.
